Investing in sustainability with renewable energy

We are delighted to announce that we are investing in renewable energy in the form of solar power.

Over the last 70 years, we have refined our manufacturing processes, invested in technology, focused on quality, and achieved operational excellence. However, now more than ever, we must focus on becoming a sustainable, energy-efficient lean manufacturing facility.

To achieve this, we have partnered with Solmatix, UK and Ireland’s leading renewable energy supplier, to specify and install a Solar PV system to power our 60,000 sq ft facility.

Upon completion, this project will see the installation of 460 x Longi 435W panels, generating 200.1kWp of renewal energy, significantly reducing our carbon output and operational costs.

To complement our investment in solar energy, we have upgraded the internal lighting of our manufacturing facility to LED allowing us to reduce energy consumption, maintenance costs, and introduce dimming capabilities.

“Reducing our carbon emissions and operational costs is important to sustaining the future success and growth of Indicators International. Being carbon aware is important to our clients, and this investment demonstrates our commitment to being a leading sustainable manufacturing facility.” – Sean O’Loughlin, Managing Director, Indicators International.

“We are incredibly proud to be working with Indicators International on this landmark project. As a company with a long history of precision engineering and innovation, their decision to invest in solar energy is a clear reflection of their forward-thinking leadership and commitment to sustainable manufacturing.

We believe renewable energy should be a strategic asset for industry—not only cutting carbon, but also improving energy resilience and reducing long-term costs. The team at Indicators International have embraced that vision wholeheartedly, and we’re delighted to support them with a bespoke solar PV solution that reflects the scale and ambition of their operation.

We look forward to seeing the results of this investment and supporting Indicators on their journey to greater energy independence and environmental responsibility.” – Ruben Nield, Business Development Manager, Solmatix

The Solmatix team are scheduled to complete the installation in summer 2025, and we look forward welcoming our clients and local businesses into our facility to showcase our latest investment.
