Hayward GalleryTranslink maintenance and
upgrade program
Project overview
The Enterprise is the flagship cross-border train service connecting Dublin and Belfast, renowned for its modern design and comfort. Operated jointly by Iarnród Éireann and NI Railways, the service features De Dietrich coaches inspired by Eurostar interiors, offering spacious seating, onboard WiFi, and premium “First Plus” amenities like reclining seats and dining options.
This project involved refurbishing the cross-border Enterprise trains operated by Translink. Indicators International was appointed to manufacture over 300 sheet metal panels for the interiors of the train carriages.

Services
The Translink maintenance and upgrade program will keep Northern Ireland Rail in a state of good repair and customers safe, comfortable, and moving across a reliable network.
Indicators International was commissioned to fabricate more than 300 external aluminium skirt panels each 4 meters in length as part of the Translink Maintenance and Upgrade project.
To fulfil the exact order requirements we recreated drawings supplied by Translink into 3D models using SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD.
This was a vital stage as is created production-ready documentation for client sign off and allow the Indicators International team to manufacture faster using aluminium material as specified.
Each panel was finished painted and ready for installation to accelerate the delivery of the fleet maintenance program to keep passengers moving throughout of Ireland of Ireland.
