Waterloo Station

Waterloo Station

Waterloo Station, located in the heart of London, is the largest and one of the busiest railway terminals in the UK. It is a key transport hub with 24 platforms serving major routes to the south coast and southwest of England. Combining historic architecture with modern functionality, Waterloo remains a vital landmark in London’s railway network.

As part of the £400 million upgrade to one of the UK’s busiest train stations, Indicators International was tasked with manufacturing all stainless-steel fixtures for the handrails and stairs.

Client

Network Rail

Challenges

Resilient precision

The project required the railings to be fabricated using stainless steel to withstand high footfall, ensuring safety, durability, and long-term performance.

Precision was critical due to the prestige and scale of the renovation.

Solution

Quality control

Collaborating with the subcontractor for Network Rail, we fabricated railings to the exact drawing details to fulfil the rigorous health and safety and quality standard required by Network Rail.
